What does the $95 service call cover?
The visit and the full diagnosis — readings taken, fault identified, and one figure quoted for parts and labour. Approve the repair and the $95 comes off it.
Do you work on refrigeration too?
No. Cooking equipment only: ranges, wall ovens, cooktops and ventilation. If you describe a refrigeration fault on the phone we will tell you straight away rather than book a visit.
My building needs the service lift booked. How does that work?
Tell us at the time of the call. The slot is picked around the loading window rather than the other way round, which matters in Back Bay and on the Hill more than anywhere else.
The hood is loud but pulls nothing. Is that the motor?
Usually not. Saturated baffles, a damper that never opens and a crushed duct run all leave a healthy blower moving no air. It is measured at the blower and again at the cap before anything is replaced.
